Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi recently came up with the rural family entertainer Thalaivan Thalaivii. Nithya Menen played the female lead. The Tamil version received positive reviews from critics. The movie opened strong at the box office and had an excellent first weekend in Tamil Nadu, with Sunday numbers doubling those of the opening day.
The latest update from the production house reveals that Thalaivan Thalaivii has crossed the Rs. 50 crore gross milestone at the worldwide box office. Following Maharaja, Vijay Sethupathi has scored another solid hit with this film. It maintained a strong hold on weekdays and is on course for a promising second weekend.
The Telugu version titled ‘Sir Madam’ has hit the screens today. Thalaivan Thalaivii is directed by Pandiraj and produced by Arjun Thyagarajan and Senthil Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner. Yogi Babu, Roshini Haripriyan, and Deepa Shankar played key roles, while Santosh Narayanan composed the music.
