The core team of Mani Ratnam’s highly-anticipated historical drama, Ponniyin Selvan 2, are promoting the movie in Coimbatore this evening as part of the Chola Tour. Actress Trisha, who played the crowd favorite Kundavai in the movie, was the special attraction at the promotional event.
In her speech, Trisha revealed that she came to Coimbatore straight from Leo’s shoot in Chennai. The gorgeous beauty went on to say that her Leo co-star Vijay, who was Mani Ratnam’s initial choice for Ponniyin Selvan when he had planned the project around a decade ago, has wished the entire team of PS2 ahead of the film’s release.
Also starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi and Jayam Ravi in lead roles, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is gearing up for its worldwide release on April 28. The film’s prequel was a humongous success, and the expectations on the sequel are sky-high among movie lovers.
