Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is a happy man. His latest release, Kingdom, is getting a decent response from fans and is performing well at the box office. As per the makers, Kingdom has amassed Rs 53 crore gross in two days of its release.
In a recent media interaction as part of Kingdom’s post-release promotions, Vijay Deverakonda revealed that Tollywood star director Sukumar called him after watching Kingdom and appreciated his work in the movie. “I admire Sukumar sir a lot, and a compliment from him means a lot to me,” said the Rowdy Star.
Vijay went on to open up about his long-delayed film under Sukumar’s direction. “I and Sukumar sir have been planning to collaborate on a project since Arjun Reddy. He likes my work. I hope we will work together in the future. My entire focus is on the projects I have in my kitty at the moment,” said Vijay Deverakonda.
Incidentally, a film in the combination of Vijay Deverakonda and Sukumar was announced by late producer Kedar Selagamsetty back in 2020. However, the film never went on floors and continues to be on the back burner.
