Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has responded to the assault allegations made by Vipin Kumar, who identified himself as the actor’s manager. Vipin recently filed a police complaint, claiming Unni verbally and physically attacked him after he shared a positive review of Tovino Thomas’ film Narivetta on social media. The issue quickly gained attention online, prompting widespread criticism.
In his official statement, Unni denied all allegations and clarified that Vipin was never appointed as his personal manager. He said their professional association began in 2018 when Vipin introduced himself as a PRO. Unni recalled a major fallout during the shoot of Marco, where Vipin had a public dispute with a crew member, causing trouble for the film.
Unni alleged that he had received several complaints about Vipin’s unprofessional behavior, including gossip and interference in his work. Though Vipin later apologised in front of a mutual friend, Unni said he continued to face issues. He also claimed Vipin accessed his digital data and made verbal threats to defame him.
Rejecting the assault claims as entirely false, Unni pointed to CCTV footage that could prove his innocence. He further accused Vipin of spreading damaging rumors and crossing personal boundaries. Unni concluded by saying some individuals unhappy with his growth may be backing this smear campaign, but he stands by truth and professionalism.
