Recently, the makers of two of the most eagerly awaited biopics on NT Ramarao and Kapil Dev, announced their next project – a biopic on yesteryear heroine and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa. The project will be going on the floors on Jayaa’s birth anniversary in February next year.
But it looks like there’s a serious trouble brewing. Priyadaarshini, a filmmaker from Tamil Nadu, has said that she had already announced a biopic on Jayaa’s illustrious life. Interestingly, even Priyadaarshini’s film will be launched on February 24, on Jayaa’s birth anniversary.
Priyadaarshini went a step ahead of NTR’s makers and said that her film on Jayaa will be releasing on September 20, 2019. In this scenario, it remains to be seen if both the parties will go ahead and make biopics on Jayaa or one among them will drop the idea.
