Aadhi Pinisetty’s Sabdham is slated for a grand release on February 28. The movie marks the second collaboration between Aadhi and director Arivazhagan after the superhit film Vaishali. Once again, the duo has worked on a horror film. Aadhi Pinisetty plays a paranormal investigator, while Lakshmi Menon has a crucial role.
In the past, producers used to screen their films for distributors before the official release, based on which theatrical business was conducted. However, this practice gradually faded in Tollywood, and now Sabdham has revived the trend. Initially, distributors weren’t interested in buying Sabdham’s theatrical rights.
As the makers were highly confident in the output, they arranged a special screening for area-wise distributors who gave a thumbs-up to this supernatural thriller. Aadhi said, “Generally, I receive calls after a film’s release, but for the first time in my career, I received appreciation messages even before the release. Many distributors called my dad and shared their excitement.”
Sabdham makers indeed took a bold step, as screening the film for distributors before release was a risky decision that could have also backfired. Sabdham is produced by 7G Films Siva in association with Banupriya Siva.
N Cinemas is distributing the movie in the Andhra and Ceded regions, while Mythri Distribution is handling the release in the Nizam region. Thaman is the music composer for this flick, in which sound plays a vital role.
