Naga Chaitanya’s latest action thriller, Savyasachi, released last weekend and received a decent response from fans. Critics and fans hailed Chay’s performance in the film as one of the best in his career. And here’s an interesting trivia.
It may sound surprising now, but two popular Tollywood stars were first approached for the lead role in Savyasachi before Chay. Buzz is that the film’s director Chandoo Mondeti had first approached Varun Tej and later Ravi Teja with Savyasachi’s script. Even the producers were reportedly different before Mythri Movie Makers stepped in.
However, the film never took off with both the actors and that was when Chandoo had narrated the story to Chay and the rest is history.
