Kollywood star Vijay had announced retirement from movies after completing his final movie, tentatively titled Thalapathy69. Last year, Vijay told his fans that he will be quitting movies after Thalapathy69 hits theaters and cater more time to active politics.
However, it looks like Vijay fans are in for a huge treat. For the past couple of days, Kollywood has been abuzz with speculation that Vijay is contemplating starring in his 70th movie. Apparently, the actor has asked his The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) director, Venkat Prabhu, to pen a script for his next project. Leading Tamil production house 7 Screen Studio, the banner that bankrolled Vijay’s Master and Leo, will bankroll Thalapathy70. Needless to say, Vijay fans are overjoyed with the ongoing buzz, and they are eagerly waiting for an official announcement regarding this crazy project.
Vijay is currently working on the highly anticipated Thalapathy69, under H Vinoth’s direction. The film is said to be an official remake of Balakrishna’s superhit family drama, Bhagavanth Kesari. The film will hit theaters worldwide on October 17, 2025. Stay tuned for further updates.
