Sudheer Babu is gearing up for the release of his new film, Jatadhara, a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara also features Sonakshi Sinha and Shilpa Shirodkar in vital roles. During Jatadhara promotions, Sudheer Babu opened up about the result of his previous outing, Maa Nanna Superhero.
“Maa Nanna Superhero is a well-made film. Those who watched the movie liked it. To be frank, it didn’t perform well in theatres. The OTT response is better. Many factors affect a film now, and the most important thing is promotions. We didn’t spend enough on marketing, and Maa Nanna Superhero lacked even serial-level promotions,” said Sudheer Babu.
The actor added, “In case of a lighter vein film, we have to spend double the amount on promotions compared to other films. It’s tough to pull audiences to the theaters with such a subject. Maa Nanna Superhero made me realize that I should select scripts that deserve a theatrical experience.”
