Widespread reports surfaced this morning regarding the disappearance of a hard drive containing critical content from the highly anticipated film Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. It has been confirmed that a formal police complaint was lodged in connection with the incident.

In response to the rumours swirling online, the production house, 24 Frames Factory, has issued an official statement to clarify the issue and developments.

As per the statement, the hard drive, housing a pivotal action sequence and extensive VFX work, was unlawfully intercepted during transit from Hive Studios in Mumbai. It was fraudulently received by an individual identified as Raghu, acting on the instructions of a woman named Charita. Neither has any affiliation with 24 Frames Factory.

The production team stated that the complaint was filed nearly four weeks ago. The identities and motives of those involved are known, and the matter has since been escalated to Cyber Crime authorities following credible intelligence indicating plans to leak over 90 minutes of unreleased footage online.

24 Frames Factory has strongly condemned the act, describing it as a calculated attempt at sabotage from within the industry. The team has appealed to the public and media to refrain from engaging with or circulating any pirated material that may emerge. They remain resolute in their commitment to the film and confident that justice will ultimately prevail.

Kannappa features a stellar cast including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, and several other prominent actors. The film is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on June 27, 2025.
