Off late, Tabu has been doing some very few films. She is picking roles which suit her age and is doing films in all languages. The latest reports now suggest that Tabu will be making a comeback to Malayalam cinema as she has been roped in to play the lead role in Aami, the biopic based on late writer Kamala Das.
The news is that yet another Hindi actress, Vidya Balan was supposed to do this film but backed out at the last minute. Now, Tabu has joined the team and will start shooting soon.
In the past, Tabu has acted in films like Kaala Pani and many other Malayalam projects. The above-said film will be directed by Kamal and is touted to be a hard-hitting drama.
