Last Friday saw the release of the Telugu movie Tillu Square and the Hindi movie Crew, both receiving immense acclaim from audiences and critics.
Remarkably, by the end of the first weekend, Tillu Square surpassed the Bollywood heist comedy-drama Crew in terms of gross earnings. Tillu Square secured a total of Rs. 68.1 crores, while Crew achieved Rs. 62.53 crores gross in the same timeframe. Notably, both films were exclusively released in their regional languages, with their true box office potential set to be unveiled today.
Directed by Mallik Ram, Tillu Square marks the debut collaboration between Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran. Meanwhile, Crew, featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan.
