Kollywood star Suriya’s maiden straight Telugu movie, tentatively titled Suriya46, was launched with a formal muhurat ceremony on June 9. The film also features the young Mollywood sensation, Mamitha Baiju, in a lead role. The film’s shoot kicked off earlier this month.
In a recent interview, Suriya46 director Venky Atluri revealed an interesting update. He said that Suriya’s character in the movie will be on the lines of his Sanjay Ramaswamy character from his cult blockbuster action drama, Ghajini. Venky went on to say that Suriya46 will be a “proper happy family film with very good human emotions.”
Suriya46 is being jointly bankrolled by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. Popular Kollywood music composer GV Prakash Kumar will be scoring the soundtrack.
