Allu Arjun and Sukumar have delivered yet another blockbuster with their latest outing, Pushpa 2: The Rule. This high-budget pan-India action drama has amassed a sensational Rs 449 crore gross in two days at the global box office. The makers held a ‘Wildfire Blockbuster Success Meet’ on Saturday evening to celebrate the film’s success. Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and the film’s core cast and crew members graced the event.
Speaking at the event, director Sukumar thanked India’s numero uno director, SS Rajamouli. The maverick director revealed that it was Rajamouli who had convinced him, Allu Arjun, and the producers to plan a pan-Indian release for the film’s first part, Pushpa: The Rise, even though they never had such plans. “We thought of dropping the pan-Indian release idea after releasing two songs in Hindi. But Rajamouli garu convinced us. Rajamouli sir, you are the reason that I’m standing where I am today. I owe my career to you,” said Sukumar.
True to Sukumar’s words, Rajamouli expressed his amazement and confidence in the Pushpa franchise at several public events. And the kind of massive sensation Pushpa: The Rise created globally needs no introduction, and it continues with the just-released second part, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
