Thalapathy Vijay has created a separate brand image for himself in the south market. He slowly developed his Telugu market with back-to-back hits from Thuppaki. Now his films are doing decent to good business in Telugu, and the latest collections of Vaarasudu is a proof of it. Vijay’s market is also strong in Kerala and Karnataka regions.

But the surprising thing is the actor’s latest flick, Varisu, is performing well in Hindi despite zero promotions. There was a good amount of takers in Hindi for the biggie, and it has already surpassed six crores net in the northern region. Yesterday night the movie registered sold-outs and fast fillings in many theatres. Today and tomorrow, the collections are expected to have a jump.

Other than huge-scale PAN Indian movies, rarely do a few films succeed in other languages. A few opine that the director Vamshi Paidipally’s sensible handling of family drama and emotions resulted in success at the Hindi box office. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady, and Dil Raju bankrolled Varisu.
