Kollywood actor Sivakarthikeyan and terrific performer Sai Pallavi have come together for a patriotic film. Today, the makers revealed that the movie is titled Amaran. Sivakarthikeyan is playing Major Mukund Varadarajan in the film. For the unversed, Mukund Varadarajan was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army’s Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra for his actions during a counterterrorism operation while on deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Files battalion in Kashmir.

Apart from the first-look poster, the makers also released a title teaser that showcases the valor of Mukund Varadarajan and other Indian soldiers. Sivakarthikeyan, as Major Mukund Varadarajan, is highly determined to eliminate terrorism from the world. The one-and-a-half-minute title teaser has solid production values and visuals.

The movie is written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Amaran will have a multi-lingual release. Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Sony Pictures International Productions are producing the movie on a gigantic scale. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the tunes. The makers are planning to release the film during Summer 2024.
