The trailer for popular actor Sree Vishnu’s upcoming romantic comedy, Single, was released yesterday, and it got everyone talking. Sree Vishnu’s hilarious dialogues in the trailer have become a trending topic on social media. However, it looks like the “Sivayya” dialogue, where Sree Vishnu imitates Manchu Vishnu’s dialogue from Kannappa, sparked an unexpected controversy.

On Wednesday, Sree Vishnu, along with Single’s director Caarthick Raju, took to X and released a video in which he issued an apology to the Kannappa team. Sree Vishnu said he had no intentions to hurt or belittle anyone and that the memes in Single’s trailer were a playful and light-hearted attempt to use the references of trending and popular dialogues from popular Tollywood movies featuring Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and others.

Sree Vishnu went on to say that the controversial dialogues in the Single’s trailer will be deleted from the movie. “We are all one family in the industry and have deep respect for each other. We don’t consciously hurt anyone,” said the soft-spoken actor.

Single also features young actresses Ketika Sharma, Ivana, and popular comedian Vennela Kishore in lead roles. The film is produced under the GA2 Movies banner under Allu Aravind’s presentation. Single is hitting theaters on May 9.
