It looks like after a lot of twists and turns, the biopic of Saina Nehwal is back on track. To be directed by Amole Gupte, the film stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, apart from several other noted actors from Bollywood.
The actress had been preparing for the role last year, while she was shooting for Saaho in Hyderabad. Shraddha also met Saina Nehwal and trained for few days with her, to understand her body language and other nuances of her style of playing. However, the actress got busy with Saaho’s shoot and couldn’t continue the training sessions, which led many people to believe that she is opting out of the film.
However, Amole Gupte has now confirmed that the film is back on track and Shraddha will once again begin preparing for the role. The shoot is expected to begin from September, and it will trace Saina’s rise to fame.
