The makers of Kabir Singh, the much-awaited Hindi remake of the cult Telugu romantic drama, Arjun Reddy, had wrapped up the first major schedule earlier this month in Mumbai. The team had wrapped up the portions in which Kabir Singh gets addicted to alcohol and drugs post his separation with Preeti.
Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who is reprising Vijay Deverakonda’s role in Kabir Singh, had grown a thick beard for the film’s first schedule. But now, as the flashback episodes are underway, Shahid has shaved off his beard to play the college student’s part.
Bharat Ane Nenu heroine Kiara Advani is reprising Shalini Pandey’s role in Kabir Singh. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had helmed the Telugu original, is also directing the Hindi remake. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 21 next year.
