The global blockbuster RRR, featuring Megapower Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger NTR in the lead roles, is still continuing its dream run in Japan. The movie is already the highest-grossing Indian film in this country. RRR also holds the record in footfalls for an Indian movie in Japan.
After 27 weeks of the run, the intense action drama is again back on the top 10 online bookings rankings in Japan. RRR is on the verge of becoming the all-time highest Multiplier in Japan (for films that made at least 1 billion Yen), beating Titanic. To put it in simple terms, Multiplier is the total box office collections of a movie divided by its opening weekend box office collections.
Japanese filmmakers use this Multiplier as a metric to measure the long-run performance of a film. Can the Rajamouli’s directorial repeat the same magic in China? Well, time decides that. Produced by DVV Danayya under the DVV Entertainment banner, RRR’s music is composed by MM Keeravani, who also won an Oscar for Naatu Naatu.
