SS Rajamouli once again made the whole world look in his direction with the first glimpse of Varanasi. Mahesh Babu is leading the film, with Priyanka Chopra playing the heroine and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the villain.
Interestingly, for the first time in his career, Rajamouli interacted with international media even before the shoot was completed. Usually, he keeps everything under wraps till he is fully done, but this time he opened up a bit early.
After dropping the glimpse, Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran spoke with global media outlets. Yesterday, the team was spotted in Hyderabad, hosting a couple of international journalists who flew in to watch the glimpse. This is a smart move from Rajamouli, and it definitely pushes Varanasi into the international spotlight.
The glimpse has already caught fire online. People across the world are talking about the visuals, Rajamouli’s scale, and the unique way he used VFX in presenting this world.
The makers have locked March 2027 as the release month. The team is currently shooting the climax, and we’re waiting to hear where the unit will head next for the remaining portions.
