Indrajit Chakraborty, father of actress Rhea Chakraborty, has finally issued a statement regarding the arrest of his son, Showmik recently in Mumbai. Expressing his disappointment, Indrajit said that he is convinced that Rhea too will be arrested.
“Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I’m sure next on the line is my daughter and I don’t know who is next thereafter. You have effectively demolished a middle-class family. But of course, for the sake of justice, everything is justified. Jai Hind,” Indrajit said in his statement.
Showmik has been arrested as part of the probe initiated by Narcotics Control Bureau. Meanwhile, Rhea’s lawyer continued to maintain his stand that his client is innocent and will continue to co-operate with the officials in the ongoing investigation.
