National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has added one more blockbuster to her name with Chhaava. The historical drama, headlined by Vicky Kaushal, is on its way to reaching the Rs. 500 crores nett club in Bollywood. During Chhaava’s promotions, Rashmika stated that she is from Hyderabad, which sparked controversy among Kannadigas.
Today, Karnataka Congress MLA Ravi Ganiga criticized Rashmika Mandanna and added that she should be taught a lesson for disregarding the industry where she began her career. Addressing the media at Vidhana Soudha, Ravi Ganiga said, “Rashmika Mandanna, who started her career with the Kannada movie Kirik Party, refused to attend the International Film Festival held in Bangalore last year when we invited her.”
Ravi Ganiga added, “Rashmika said she has her house in Hyderabad. Rashmika said she didn’t know where Karnataka was. She didn’t have time to attend the film festival. One of our legislator friends met Rashmika nearly 10 to 12 times and invited her. But she refused and even disregarded Kannada despite starting her career here. Shouldn’t we teach them a lesson?”
The Pushpa actress is now receiving support from one and all regarding this issue. A netizen wrote, “Teach a lesson? What is wrong with you? In your quest to cause regional conflict, she will suffer hate. She probably knows what kind of people you are and hence refused to attend. And I seriously doubt she said, I don’t know where Karnataka is.” Another netizen commented, “The kind of hatred Rashmika gets is unreal, simply because her relationship with a Kannada actor didn’t end well.”
