Rashmika turned a year older, and the teaser of the actress’s upcoming film, The Girlfriend, was supposed to be released today. However, the team changed plans at the last minute because they wanted to conduct a grand event for the trailer launch.
Instead of the teaser, the team dropped the first-look poster of the national crush. Rashmika looks enchanting in this poster, with a pretty smile on her face. She is shown as a college student studying in a library. The makers came up with the caption, “Her eyes smile before she does. And they speak the words that she won’t.”
Did the team hint at Rashmika’s characterization through this caption? We need to wait a few days to find out. Rahul Ravindran is directing The Girlfriend. Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni are producing the film under the banners of Mass Movie Makers and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment. Hesham Abdul Wahab is composing the tunes. The Girlfriend will have a multi-lingual release.
