It’s been reported already that a biopic on Sri Lankan cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan’s life is in the offing. Acclaimed Tamil Star Vijay Sethupathi will be reprising Muralitharan in the biopic and hero Rana Daggubati will be co-producing the film.
In a latest interview with a national news daily, Rana revealed why he joined hands in telling Muralitharan’s tale. “Muttiah Muralitharan’s life has many interesting episodes, and he has witnessed a lot of conflicts. His story has a global appeal and it is very inspiring,” Rana said. The Baahubali actor also said that the biopic will give an insight into Murali’s personal life as well.
This as-yet-untitled film will be directed by MS Sripathy and co-produced by Dar Media Pvt Ltd.
