Latest Telugu film Raju Weds Rambai is a small and surprising box office hit. Starring Akhil Raj Uddemari and Tejaswi Rao as the lead pair, the film is directed by first-timer Saailu Kaampati.
The movie has worked wonders on day 2, hugely benefiting from positive word of mouth, low ticket prices, and the buzz created by the makers.
It grossed around Rs 4.04 crore in two days across India. The makers are pretty happy with the movie’s success, and achieving these numbers with no star cast and no widespread release means a lot. The day 3 (Sunday) collections will rock for sure.
Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, Shivaji Raja, and Anitha Chowdary round out the cast. The film is produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi, with music composed by Suresh Bobbili.
