Superstar Rajinikanth has joined forces with star director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the highly anticipated gangster drama, Coolie. The film’s shoot has been progressing at a brisk pace, and a major portion has been wrapped up in the Chennai and Vizag schedules.
As per the latest updates, Coolie’s team is currently canning a few crucial scenes in the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan. This will be a week-long schedule, and the unit will later move to Vizag for yet another key schedule that will last for two weeks. This will be followed by a week-long schedule in Hyderabad, before the team heads to Dubai in January for the final schedule.
Coolie’s team is planning to release a special surprise for all the Rajini fans on December 12 to coincide with the legendary actor’s birthday. Also starring Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Bashir, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles, Coolie is being produced under the Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the soundtrack. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide in May 2025.
