SS Rajamouli is a perfectionist. He takes multiple years to carve out his films. Incidentally, Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has revealed that Rajamouli was absolutely shocked when he heard about one particular aspect of Ponniyin Selvan.
“I met Rajamouli sir recently. I then told him we shot both parts of Ponniyin Selvan in around 150 days. He was shell shocked. He asked me if I was pranking him by saying they wrapped the shoot in just 150 days. I then had to seriously confirm that we did indeed wrap the shoot in 150 days,” Ravi said in a recent interview.
Ravi added that Rajamouli then asked him about the shooting process and the logistics involved to wrap the shoot at such a quick pace.
