Bollywood’s recent crime thriller Raid 2 marks the return of Ajay Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, with Raj Kumar Gupta once again in the director’s seat. A sequel to the 2018 hit, the film features Riteish Deshmukh as the powerful Dada Bhai and Vaani Kapoor in a key role. Set in Rajasthan, it blends politics, power, and black money — and delivered a strong run at the box office.
The film is now streaming on Netflix, available in Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese. With this global OTT release, Raid 2 expands its reach, making the story accessible to international audiences across regions and languages.
But shockingly, the release skips major Indian regional languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada — while embracing foreign dubs like Spanish and Portuguese. For a film rooted in Indian soil with a nationwide appeal, the absence of native language options feels less like a miss and more like a misplaced priority.
Backed by T-Series and Panorama Studios, Raid 2 features music by Amit Trivedi, with a special appearance by Tamannaah Bhatia in a dance number. Shot on a large scale with grounded storytelling, the film now begins its digital journey, aiming to find new viewers beyond its theatrical audience.
