Just days ahead of its release, the makers of Raai Laxmi starrer Julie 2 have revealed that the film is based on the real story of a popular actress who was a big star in Telugu and Tamil back in the 90s and early 2000s. However, owing to legal issues, the makers refused to divulge her name.
Apparently, this actress’ affair with her co-star, who was already a big star in South, became a huge issue since he was already married. The makers went on to claim that the actress had to leave the industry and instead act in Bhojpuri films where she became a big star eventually.
While many names are floating in gossip columns about who the actress might be, Raai Laxmi has been going all out to promote the film. Looks like, Julie 2, which will release in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, will ruffle quite a few feathers.
