Kamal Haasan is set to produce a film with Superstar Rajinikanth, tentatively titled #Thalaivar173. The movie was supposed to be directed by Sundar C, but much to everyone’s shock, the director stepped away from the project days after the formal announcement by issuing a press note, and this stirred widespread discussion.
Ever since Sundar C’s exit, fans have been wondering who will helm this prestigious project. The word in Kollywood circles suggests that one among Nithilan Saminathan of Maharaja fame and Ramkumar Balakrishnan of Parking fame is expected to direct the biggie.
It is said that discussions are currently underway, with clarification expected on Rajinikanth’s birthday. After wrapping up this project, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth will feature in a multistarrer, and even for that film, the director has not yet been finalized.
