Leaving his family and friends in deep shock, young Tollywood producer Kedar Selagamsetty passed away in Dubai a couple of days ago. Kedar was in Dubai to attend a wedding, which was also graced by several top Tollywood stars. Preliminary reports stated that Kedar breathed his last in sleep in his hotel room.
And Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s sensational comments on Kedar Selagamsetty’s demise have caused a stir in film and political circles. Addressing the media during his ongoing New Delhi visit, Revanth Reddy said that people who were linked to the Tollywood drug scandal are dying in mysterious circumstances and urged the media to highlight the issue.
“If anyone files a formal complaint, I will order a thorough inquiry into these mysterious deaths,” the CM added. Revanth Reddy’s comments gain prominence as another noted Tollywood producer, KP Chowdary, who released Rajinikanth’s Kabali in Telugu, had ended his life in Goa in mysterious circumstances.
Kedar had close ties with several Tollywood stars. His name was involved in a drug scandal that was unearthed at a star hotel in February last year. Even though police initially named Kedar Selagamsetty as an accused, he was later declared a victim. Kedar ran a pub in Hyderabad, which had several Telugu film stars as regular visitors
