Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran achieved yet another success with the comedy-drama Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Unlike The Goat Life, there weren’t gigantic expectations, but the movie turned out to be a money spinner both in domestic and international markets.
Directed by Vipin Das of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame, the comedy-drama is inching closer to the 80 crore mark. The movie collected about 39 crores gross from Kerala, while it managed to rake in another 39 crores gross from the other regions. If the movie can hold well in the coming days, it can touch the three digit mark.
Produced by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment banners, the film has Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, Siju Sunny, and Yogi Babu in crucial roles. Ankit Menon composed the tunes.
