Megastar Chiranjeevi received the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award, from President Draupadi Murmu earlier today in New Delhi. Chiru’s wife Konidela Surekha, son Ram Charan, daughter Sushmita, and daughter-in-law Upasana were present at the presentation ceremony and cheered for the veteran Megastar.
Ram Charan took to Instagram just a while ago and shared a couple of pictures and a video from the Padma Awards presentation ceremony. The Mega family looked royalty personified in the pictures. “Congratulations dad. So proud of you,” the proud son wrote in his insta post. Charan also added the hashtag. #padmavibhushanchiranjeevi in his post.
The Indian government honored Chiru with the Padma Vibhushan for his priceless service to Indian Cinema over the past four decades.
