The delay in release of Padmavati has led to a huge tension for Sanjay Leela Bhansali; however, it turns out that he already has a backup in case the film faces more trouble after its release in future. Apparently, the film has been insured for a whopping Rs 140 crores and the producers and distributors will make about Rs 80 crores in case the screening is affected.
New India Assurance, which is behind this move, has reportedly gotten a claim of Rs 3 crores after a set of the film was burnt down during protests at the production stage earlier this year. However, there is a big catch behind all this – the insurance doesn’t apply if the film is banned in different regions, according to the latest reports in the media.
