The entire world is engulfed by the mania surrounding Netflix’s flagship series, Stranger Things. The first volume of the new installment dropped last Thursday and has gotten off to a solid start. However, in India, Stranger Things 5 was overshadowed by a recently launched Indian web series.
The show in question is Raj & DK’s The Family Man Season 3, which premiered a couple of weeks ago on Prime Video. According to the latest report from Ormax Media, The Family Man 3 recorded twice the viewership of Stranger Things 5 during the week of November 24–30.
While The Family Man 3 garnered 7 million views in this period, Stranger Things 5 Volume 1 registered 3.5 million views. Although the data for Stranger Things 5 accounts for just four days, the fact that an Indian series that premiered on November 21 dominated a globally popular English series in its second week is undoubtedly a major achievement.
