The Tom Cruise-starrer spy action thriller Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (Mission Impossible 8) is back in the headlines. Opening with strong box office collections, the movie, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, was released in India a week ahead of its global theatrical release.
The movie is now available to watch straight from home in New Zealand and the U.S. from August 19, 2025. However, Indian audiences will need to wait a few more days, as it is currently available on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Fandango on a VOD basis.
It is available for streaming in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil in the New Zealand region. In India, it is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on a rental basis.
The film also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett, and Esai Morales in key roles. Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie co-produced the movie, with music composed by Max Aruj and Alfie Godfrey.
