As September comes to a close and October approaches, several series and movies are making their way to OTT platforms. Here’s a curated list of notable releases:
Nammakam:
ETV Win’s Katha Sudha series has added a new short film, Nammakam, featuring Rohini Molleti. Directed by Teja, the film premiered yesterday on the OTT platform and has received decent feedback.
Junior:
Kireeti Reddy and Sreeleela’s Junior has made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video and Aha (Telugu version). The film underperformed at the box office, and it remains to be seen how it will be received by the OTT audience.
Little Hearts:
The small-budget Telugu blockbuster Little Hearts, starring Mouli and Shivani Nagaram, marks the directorial debut of Sai Marthand. Notably, the OTT release includes additional content, which could enhance its appeal to viewers.
Madharaasi:
AR Murugadoss’ action entertainer, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini Vasanth, is set for a grand OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages, including Telugu. Despite grossing over Rs. 100 crore, its reception in Telugu states was lukewarm.
Annapoorani:
Nayanthara’s controversial film returns to OTT, but this time exclusively in Hindi on Jio Hotstar rather than Netflix. Directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, the dubbed version is now available for Indian audiences online.
The Game – You Never Play Alone:
This new Netflix Tamil series stars Shraddha Srinath as a game developer determined to track down those responsible for a coordinated attack against her. Set to stream from October 2, 2025, the Telugu version may also be available.
