The comedic brilliance of senior actress Kovai Sarala needs no introduction. The popular Tamil actress is well known to Telugu audiences for the hilarious roles she performed over the years. However, for reasons unknown, Kovai Sarala has been missing in action in Tollywood since her last Telugu movie, Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah’s 2019 horror comedy, Abhinetri 2.
And here’s some good news for all the movie lovers who enjoy Kovai Sarala’s comedy. The actress is set to return to Tollywood after a 6-year break. She will be seen in a key role in Ritu Varma’s soon-to-release webseries, Devika & Danny. The show’s first look poster was unveiled recently. Directed by Kishore and produced by Sudhakar Chaganti under the Joy Films banner, Devika & Danny also features young actors Shiva Kandukuri and Surya Vasshistta in lead roles.
Kovai Sarala’s pairing with legendary comedian Brahmanandam has a separate fanbase in Telugu states. The duo mostly acted together as a couple and offered unlimited comedic delight to their fans. Hopefully, Kovai Sarala will make a full-fledged comeback with Devika & Danny and portray more diverse roles in her second innings in Tollywood.
