Kollywood star Suriya’s romantic action drama Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is all set to make its digital debut earlier than expected. While the film was initially announced to stream on Netflix from May 31, 2025, the platform has now advanced the release by a day – it will premiere on May 30, 2025.
The team haven’t revealed the reason behind the change, but it’s certainly good news for fans eagerly waiting to catch the film online.
Retro, which features Pooja Hegde as the female lead, didn’t create much buzz at the box office during its theatrical run. However, its OTT release offers a fresh opportunity to reach a wider audience and perhaps gain the recognition it missed earlier.
The film also stars Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, and Vidhu in important roles, with Shriya Saran appearing in a special song. Produced by Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment, Retro has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Now, all eyes are on the home audience to see how they receive this stylish action romance on its second innings.
