Ace producer Dil Raju and actor Nithiin joined hands for Thammudu, a film that unfortunately turned out to be a major box office disappointment. Directed by Venu Sriram, the movie failed to click with audiences and left the team with significant losses.
But the journey doesn’t end there. Thammudu is now set to take the OTT route, with Netflix announcing its digital premiere on August 1, 2025. What makes this release interesting is that the film is getting a pan-South OTT launch, streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The makers are hoping this wider reach might give the film a second chance and connect with a broader audience, even if it couldn’t make a mark in cinemas.
The ensemble cast includes Sapthami Gowda, Laya, Varsha Bollamma, Saurabh Sachdeva, Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, and Chammak Chandra. The music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
