Popular Tollywood actor Nara Rohith’s 20th film, Sundarakanda, is scheduled for theatrical release on August 27 as a Vinayaka Chaturthi treat. The film’s release date announcement posters were unveiled on the actor’s birthday, and they have been received quite well by netizens.
The latest we hear from close sources is that Sundarakanda’s digital streaming and satellite rights have been acquired by leading OTT platform Jio Hotstar for a cool Rs 9 crore. Apparently, the officials at Jio Hotstar have watched Sundarakanda’s full copy and were quite impressed with the output.
In addition to this, the film’s Hindi dubbing and audio rights have been sold for another Rs 3 crore. With Rs 12 crore recovered from the non-theatrical rights alone, Sundarakanda has kicked off its pre-release formalities on a winning note.
Sundarakanda has young actress Virti Vaghani playing the female lead. The film also features Sridevi Vijaykumar, Naresh, and others in prominent roles. Debutant Venkatesh Nimmalapudi has directed the movie, while Santhosh Chinnapolla produced it along with Gowtham Reddy and Rakesh Mahankalli. Leon James is the film’s music composer.
