This Thursday will be a treat for OTT audiences as two exciting titles, L2: Empuraan and Veera Dheera Sooran, are set to be available for streaming. Empuraan, headlined by Mohanlal, is the biggest hit ever in Malayalam cinema with over Rs. 260 crores gross. The political action thriller directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran received mixed reviews, but the pre-release hype helped it succeed at the box office.
Starting April 24, Empuraan will be available to stream on Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages. Since the film landed in controversy during its theatrical run, people are very excited to watch it on digital screens. Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, spearheaded by Chiyaan Vikram, received appreciation from critics and performed decently at the box office, clocking Rs. 60 crores gross.
Veera Dheera Sooran will be available to stream on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages from Thursday. The film went unnoticed in the Telugu states due to bad promotions and a bad release date. Since many Telugu people didn’t watch it in theatres, Veera Dheera Sooran is expected to register a good viewership on OTT.
