The moment millions of people wished to see has finally happened today. The track that shook the entire world has just won the Oscar in the Best Original Song category. It’s none other than Naatu Naatu from the homegrown Indian film RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli with Ram Charan and Jr NTR as the lead protagonists.

Janelle Monae and Kate Hudson announced that Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravaani and sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, has bagged the prestigious Academy Award. With this, Naatu Naatu becomes the first Indian song and also the first Tollywood movie that won an Oscar.

MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose received the award and in his winning speech, MM Keeravaani has thanked Rajamouli, Karthikeya and the one who made the song a global hit. He sang a special song about Rajamouli, which grabbed the attention of the attendees.
