Today, Netflix dropped the documentary of RRR, and once again, netizens are going gaga over SS Rajamouli’s perfection and hardworking nature. The director’s next is with Superstar Mahesh Babu, and the movie is tentatively titled SSMB29. The film is set against the backdrop of African forests and will be a globetrotting adventure. For the last few months, there have been many speculations on social media about the female lead in SSMB29.
According to a recent report in Pink Villa, National Award-winning Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been cast as the leading lady in this prestigious project. The report claimed, “Rajamouli was looking for an actress with a global presence, and he felt Priyanka Chopra would be the right fit for his film. The filmmaker held several meetings with the sensational actress over the past few months, and the actress gave her nod.”
The report further mentioned, “It’s been six long years since Priyanka Chopra appeared in an Indian film. The script has ample scope for the female lead, including a lot of action. Priyanka has already started prepping for her part, and the project will go on floors in April 2025.”
Reportedly, Prithviraj Sukumaran is roped in as the antagonist, and Mahesh Babu’s role will have traits of Lord Hanuman. We will have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers about the cast and crew. KL Narayana of Durga Arts is the producer of this big-ticket entertainer. Oscar-winning music director MM Keeravani will compose the tunes.
