Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up to entertain audiences with the action thriller Madharaasi. The biggie directed by AR Murugadoss is scheduled for a grand release on September 5. The makers are all set to drop a few promotional assets this week. Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead.
During an interview, AR Murugadoss opened up about his initial plans to make Madharaasi with Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. The director said, “About 7-8 years ago, I narrated the protagonist’s character to Shah Rukh Khan sir. He liked it too. I didn’t tell him the full script. Back then, it was just in the idea stage. I can’t disclose more about the hero’s character now.”
The Ghajini director added, “Ravi K. Chandran arranged the meeting. SRK sir loved the character, but I messaged him after two weeks. I felt the delay was very long. After that, I haven’t communicated with him. I didn’t follow up. Later, I moved on. I felt Sivakarthikeyan had the proper flexibility in his body to do the role. I shaped the script in a way that fits Sivakartikeyan.”
