Mohanlal’s recent outing Thudarum is shocking the trade. The film opened to solid numbers at the box office but what’s more impressive is that it has managed to collect over Rs. 5 crores gross everyday in Kerala even on the weekdays.

Thudarum is achieving what Empuraan couldn’t as the former is set to become the first Rs. 100 crore grosser in Kerala. After 12 days the movie amassed a whopping Rs. 76 crores gross in Kerala. The movie is dominating the new releases Raid 2, and HIT 3 on Book My Show sales too.

Today’s advances are nearly Rs. 2 crores in the home market and this pretty much sums up the box office carnage. In the last six weeks, Mohanlal has generated approximately Rs. 440 Crores gross collection from theatres. The Mohanlal starrer has made it tough for other films to sustain in Kerala. At the worldwide box office the movie has crossed Rs. 160 crores gross and is on its way to reaching Rs. 200 crore mark.
