Mollywood legend Mohanlal has once again taken the box office by storm with his latest release, Thudarum. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film arrived with minimal hype but quickly turned into a massive sensation, surprising both audiences and the trade alike.
The film has now made headlines by becoming the first-ever Malayalam movie to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in Kerala alone — a rare milestone that no other film from the industry has achieved so far. Currently in its third week, Thudarum continues to draw packed houses across the state.
With a global gross of around Rs. 200 crore, it has now become the third-highest grossing film in the history of Malayalam cinema. This remarkable success reaffirms Mohanlal’s undisputed dominance at the box office, despite a few underwhelming outings in recent times.
The film also features standout performances from Sobhana, Prakash Varma, Binu Pappu, and Thomas Mathew in key roles.
