It’s a memorable Sunday for Malayalam stalwart Mohanlal. The award-winning actor took to X and shared a heartfelt note upon receiving a signed jersey from the Argentina football legend Lionel Messi. Mohanlal also shared a video of Messi signing the jersey.
“Some moments in life feel too profound for words. They stay with you forever. Today, I experienced one of those moments. As I gently unwrapped the gift, my heart skipped a beat—a jersey signed by the legend himself, Lionel Messi. And there it was… my name, written in his own hand,” Lalettan posted.
The Empuraan star went on to say, “For someone who has long admired Messi, not just for his brilliance on the field but for his humility and grace, this was truly special.” He also thanked his friends Dr. Rajeev Mangottil and Rajesh Philip and God for this “unforgettable gift.”
On the work front, Mohanlal was last seen in the blockbuster action thriller, L2: Empuraan. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film scripted history as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time by amassing over Rs 263 crore at the global box office.
