While many films are currently competing for attention in theatres, only a few manage to truly capture the public’s imagination. Among them, Mahavatar Narasimha, a Kannada animated feature, has taken the industry by surprise. What began as a quiet release has quickly grown into one of the most talked-about successes of the year.

The film, released in multiple languages, has seen a remarkable rise in popularity. It continues to draw packed houses and has so far earned over Rs. 79 crore (9 days), an unexpected milestone for a regional animated film.

In Hindi, it has become a runaway hit, crossing the Rs. 50 crore mark despite facing stiff competition from Saiyaara, Dhadak 2, and Son of Sardaar 2. Audiences have clearly connected with the film’s mythological theme and visual storytelling.

The Telugu version is also holding strong, and trade experts expect it to collect around Rs. 10 crore share by the end of its theatrical run. Word of mouth has played a major role in sustaining its momentum across the southern market.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar and presented by Hombale Films, Mahavatar Narasimha is produced by Kleem Entertainment. What started as a modest theatrical entry has now grown into a cultural moment that shows no signs of slowing down.
